Joe Braverman -- Happy Times

There is always one time when we are at our happiest; this is my time for that moment. My happiest moment was during this past baseball season when I played on the baseball field downtown. For the first time since I started playing baseball, the seasonal games were under the lights during the night. The scene was so ceramic: the clear night sky, the baseball field lit up from the lights, and the sound of conversations and cheering made it seem like a regular old baseball night.
The pitcher was one of my best friends Michael Tascione, and my season wasn’t going as well as I hoped, until that night. My first at-bat shocked me a little, I got a hit, I was so pumped but I to keep it cool on base. At-bat number two, same pitcher same result, another hit. My night was going great, two big hits for my team and even I was shocked.
It wasn’t just at the plate where my big night took place, in the field too. I was playing right field as usual and not a lot of balls came over to right field, except for this one batter. A lining fly ball was coming right towards me. I kept backing up, backing up, and I just barely caught the ball. Keeping a cool tone on the outside, but ecstatic on the inside. Almost no one could possibly make that catch, even professional baseball players couldn’t make it, but only I did. My face was trying to make it look like a normal old-fashioned catch, but all the cheering made it a really big deal. It was like my conscience was jumping up and down like a pogo stick. I was getting congratulated left and right; even coaches and players on the other team were congratulating me. At first I kept it cool, but I just let it out once I got back to my dugout. Everyone was cheering, knowing that I saved the game for the team.
My team was able to hang on and win the game twelve to five thanks to my game-saving catch. After the game, my team had a meeting and during that meeting, my coach gave me the game ball. What a game, what a night, what a moment for me. That night, it was my turn to stand in the spotlight.

I think it stayed on topic and good description. Like when you described you catching the baseball.
