Emily Stimson -- My Seventh-grade Picture Day

The alarm went off.  My ipod said 6:20 a.m.; picture day. “Let’s get going,” I said to myself. I got up, turned the alarm off, as my dog barks to get out of my parents room.  Turned the lights on, I could barely see, I was so tired.  I stood there for a second thinking of what to do next. I thought for a really long time. Then I went back to bed. Ten minutes later my alarm went off again, time to get up.
I got dressed in the clothes I picked out that night: a black shirt with some khaki shorts. Washed my face with my new face wash and warm water.  I was still really tired; walking into my closet to pick out the accessories for the day, I picked out a necklace and some earrings.
Then I walked down the stairs, still really tired. I put the last Eggo waffle in the toaster, and ate it. Ran back upstairs, brushed my teeth and fixed my hair.  At 7:10, I walked to the end of my driveway chewing some gum.  Hunter (my dog) was whining and barking at the front door. I noticed that I forgot my lunch money, ran inside, grabbed it and got on the bus.
