I slammed the door shut on my dad’s monstrous truck. I ran with all the food I was carrying into the house with Matt and Hunter. I got to the house and turkey filled the air my mouth started to water. Hellos came from every direction. My aunty Carla had us sit down and wait at the table. My dad pulled out the biggest knife they had and cut the turkey steam poured out. Aunty Carla brought over plates of different foods, like mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberry sauce and green beans. All I could hear was the mumbling of people talking. We were all done but not for long Patti brought over all the dessert and everyone was even more stuffed.
Everyone was done and was laid back. My step mom made me get all the dishes and bring them to the sink and start washing them. The chunks of food sliding off the plate into the sink was gross! There was a mountain of plates. Then putting food into containers then into the fridge. We were there for another hour just sitting there listening to them talking. I was happy once they said “its time to go.” We said bye to everyone and out the door we went, to go home!
