Witch’s Woods - Marcus Blanchard, Blue Workshop

On October 3, 2009, we went to a fright fest called Witch’s WooDs. They had everything scary you could imagine. There were people in zombie costumes wondering around and scaring people. Whenever we passed someone in a costume, the person in the costume would glare at us.

When we went in the spooky haunted mansion, people would leap out and scare us. Then they would say “you don’t belong here” and when we walked away, they’d glare at us. It was scary when they LOOKed at you because they made their eyes pop out. Wherever we went, people wondering around in costumes would glare at us and tried to scare us.

When we went on the haunted hayride, people in costumes would run at us and scare us. When they looked back after they wAndered away, they would STARE at us. It was scary every time they came at us an everyone else because you didn’t know when they were going to pop out from or what they would do next to scare you.

My reaction to the haunted hayride was I was a little freaked out about it because I didn’t know what was going to happen. It was my first time being on a haunted hayride and my first time being at “Witch’s Woods”. Although I was a little freaked out, it was very fun going on the haunted hayride. I got an eerie feeling before someone was going to pop out. This is how I felt at Witch’s Woods and on the Spooky haunted hayride at witch’s woodS.

  1. Marcus- That was a spooky time at Witch's Woods! I was freaked out sometimes too and I know you heard me scream! I think everyone enjoyed it and it was a fun thing to do. Maybe we can go again next year. It is nice to see what you thought about it and you described it pretty good! You did a great job writing about what we saw.

  5. Marcus,
I like your use of the people's exact words. It makes it scarier and makes me feel like I was there. "Glare" is also a vivid word to describe what they were doing!
