A Scary Moment - Jessie Berthiaume, Blue Workshop
When I looked at the audience from behind the curtain I thought I was going to faint. There were so many people in the audience, all of their eyes looking at the stage waiting for the music to start. When the music started I put my heart on dancing. It was my favorite kind of dance… jazz; I was wearing a pink and black leotard and black pants with black jazz shoes. The song was one of my favorite dance songs, Accentuate the Positive. Although I was jovial about all of those things, I was still scared about performing. When I got on the stage it felt like every single person was staring at me. I wanted to run off the stage in fright. My heart was pounding so hard I thought I was going to faint. But I couldn’t leave my group now even if I did have stage fright. As the dance went on it still felt like everyone was staring at just me dancing. As the music shut off and my group was leaving the stage, it felt like a million eyes were glued to me leaving.
